By working in direct partnership with smallholder estate families in Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, and Matale, we ensure that every crop is grown using ecological practices. From hand-plucking tea leaves at dawn to sun-drying true cinnamon quills, our processes respect nature and support local livelihoods.

Adeesha Jayawardana founded Zeloan Products with a clear and unwavering purpose: to preserve Sri Lanka's authentic agricultural heritage and deliver its finest teas and spices to the world without ever compromising on quality.
In today's global marketplace, too many businesses have chosen to prioritise volume and lower costs at the expense of what truly matters — the integrity of the product, the dignity of the farmer, and the trust of the buyer. Adeesha witnessed this firsthand: corners being cut, inferior goods being traded under the banner of "Ceylon quality," and hardworking local farmers being squeezed out of the value they rightfully deserve.

Three Centuries of Trade,
One Enduring Name
"Zeloan" is not a modern invention—it is a genuine historical spelling used by European cartographers in the 17th and 18th centuries to mark Sri Lanka on maritime trade charts.
Early British merchants navigating the Indian Ocean trade routes relied on sea charts like those by English hydrographer John Seller in 1671, which explicitly referenced "the island Zeloan." Later, Samuel Thornton's detailed 1702–1707 maritime maps featured the name "ZELOAN" printed prominently across the island's terrain.
Today, Zeloan Products carries that exact historical name forward. We continue a legacy of Sri Lankan goods reaching the world, modernized for today's global trade.
